ஒரு சமயம்  அரசியல்வாதிகள் அனைவரும் கட்சிப் பாகுபாடு இல்லாமல் ஒரு இன்பச் சுற்றுலா கிளம்புவதாக முடிவானது.

அந்தப் பொன்னாளில் அவர்கள் யாருடைய தொகுதியும் அந்தச் சுற்றுலா வரைவில் வந்துவிடாமல் பார்த்துக் கொண்டு ஒரு அட்டகாசமான பஸ்ஸைப் பிடித்துக் கிளம்பியும் விட்டார்கள்.

எல்லா ஏரியாவும் சுற்றி முடித்துவிட்டு திரும்பும் போது இரவில் அவர்கள் பஸ் பிரேக் பிடிக்காமல் ஒரு வயலோரமாய் இருந்த மரத்தில் மோதி கவிழ்ந்துவிட்டது.

கொஞ்ச நேரம் எல்லோரும் கதறிக் கொண்டிருக்க, அந்த வழியாய் வந்த ஒரு விவசாயி அவர்களைப் பார்த்து அடையாளம் கண்டு கொண்டதும் ஒரு பெரிய குழியைத் தோண்டி அனைவரையும் ஒன்றாய்ப் புதைத்துவிட்டார்.

மறுநாள் போலிஸ் வந்து அந்த விவசாயியை விசாரித்தது.

விவசாயி நடந்ததை அப்படியே சொன்னார்.

ஆச்சர்யப்பட்ட போலிஸ் இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் கேட்டார்.

"என்ன... அத்தனை பேரையும் புதைச்சுட்டையா...? அதுல ஒருத்தர் கூடவா உயிரோட இல்ல...?".

அதற்கு அந்த விவசாயி பதில் சொன்னார்.

“இல்ல… நான் புதைக்கும்போது நிறையப் பேரு உயிரோடதான் இருக்கேன்னு கத்தினாங்க. ஆனா, நீங்களே சொல்லுங்க… அரசியல்வாதி சொல்றதையெல்லாம்  நாம நம்ப முடியுமா என்ன…?”.
